Cranbrook, BC (June 7, 2024) – Our aquatic center at Western Financial Place is set to close Monday, June 17, 2024, for two weeks for our annual maintenance shutdown.
The wave and lane pools, hot tub, sauna, and steam room will reopen for our patrons and user groups on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
We have a few important projects scheduled to help keep our facility running smoothly for all our aquatic center and arena users. The pool surge tanks will be drained and cleaned with maintenance repairs, the lobby will be painted, squash court lighting will be replaced, repairs will be made to the pump, as well as cleaning sand filters, the deck drain, and touching up the lobby floor and making repairs. In addition, general maintenance and repairs will be done to the arena boards, the air handler unit, and the net cable system.
The City of Cranbrook and the Aquatic Centre team appreciate the patience and understanding of all of our patrons and user groups during this shutdown period.
